The Seattle PI Blog is reporting that a neighbor was taken to Harborview with non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car. According to the report, the car belonged to intruders breaking into his neighbors home:
A man was hit by an SUV Wednesday night driven by an intruder who cased his neighbor’s house in Columbia City, according to police reports.
A witness called 911 shortly before 8 p.m. to reports seeing one or two men checking out his neighbor’s house in the 4500 block of South Kenny Street. The 911 caller and some other neighbors watched the men and heard glass breaking, reports say.
The suspicious men did not enter the house, Seattle police reported. While officers were on their way to the scene, the 911 caller reported that a neighbor was hit by the intruders’ vehicle as it was taking off.
Police found the victim and another neighbor at Rainier Avenue South and South Kenny Street. The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspicious vehicle is described as a gray Honda CRV SUV with damage to the passenger side windshield.
