Many of you might have noticed the construction happening at 5520 S Rainier Ave, the former gas station/auto shop next to Tin Umbrella at Rainier and Findlay. I dug into the Seattle’s public permits and it does, indeed, look like a new restaurant is going in (with a large outdoor seating area).
The permits are listed under a local couple (in 2011, the Seattle Times highlighted their remodel on Beacon Hill) for a business called Big Chickie.
The permits and site plan definitely show a new restaurant under the name of that company, but not too many other details are popping up about the restaurant itself.
With a name like Big Chickie, it’s not too far of a stretch to assume a new chicken restaurant of some kind is going in…but details on what exactly the specifics are have yet to really emerge. Bigchickie.com does seem to lead to a website that’s in development with social media links that have yet to be made public.
Anyone have the details?
Peruvian Chicken, like the place further up Rainier. Lots of outdoor seating across from Tin Umbrella for the Hillman City version.
Yesterday, while I was at work, my cousin stole
my iPad and tested to see if it can survive a forty
foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now destroyed and
she has 83 views. I know this is completely off topic but I had to share it
with someone!
