The Rainier Valley Post has a new summary of few incidents from this past weekend that are worth reading about if you have yet to do so. Including in the list of Southeast Seattle reports from Saturday is:
a 41-year old woman [who] was dragged across the ground near Columbia City when a man stole her purse.
According to Detective Kappel, it was about 10:33 am when the woman was walking at Rainier Avenue South and South Brandon Street and a man walked up and grabbed her purse.
“The victim held onto her purse and the suspect proceeded to drag her across the ground while trying to muscle the purse away,” he wrote. ”The suspect was able to break the purse free of the victim and ran off eastbound on South Brandon Street. The suspect was described as a black male in his 30s, 5’2″ to 5’3″ tall with a slim build and was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket and dark jeans.
