I somehow missed this post on Curbed Seattle from a few weeks back. I stumbled across it today and wanted to share.
As a part of their “Photos of (insert neighborhood here) From Before you Were Born” series, Curbed uploaded 16 historic photos from Columbia City’s past.
As I am sure many are aware, the Rainier Valley Historical Society on Ferdinand is the best place to head if you are interested in finding more out about the neighborhood’s history. In addition to to their collection of over 1,500 historical photos, they have great links to explore to find out even more about Columbia City’s 100+-year history. They can even send you in the right direction for how to track down historical photos of your home.
