Welcome to the interactive Columbia City Development and Project Map, an ongoing effort to keep neighbors informed regarding the various building developments, proposals, and projects in the works for the neighborhood.
This map is maintained primarily through the volunteer efforts of Scott A., a Columbia City neighbor with a keen knack for searching the DPD’s public permits, land-use proposals, and other public sources to find out what’s going in around the corner and how to find out more about it.
To use the map (selecting the full screen option works best), zoom in to the neighborhood, navigate to any given project, click on the title, and follow the links to see what information is currently available.
If you’ve got a project to add to the list, use the form below to get in touch and we’ll do our best to keep it up to date.
This is fantastic, thanks! Any more details on the building on HUDson across from the new apts?
JPG – The old Esmay’s auto shop building retrofit project is completely stopped as far as I’ve heard from a couple sources and no recent inspections or permit activity for 3714 S. Hudson.
Great resource, please keep current! How is DPD with sharing/open data? Is it more manual or could it be automated.
hey scott any info on those townhouse projects on renton ave?
Tony, Which property(ies) are you referring to? If you’re thinking of the properties where Renton Ave meets 35th – the map has links to what I’m aware of. There is some fairly recent Land Use permit activity on-line (late September) for the projects shown. I expect that at some point the very run-down building just north of these two parcels will be permitted for something.
Yes those where the ones im referring to. I saw that playhouse design group were part of the project and I love all of there design work. Any estimate on when they’ll be permitted.
Scott, this is such an incredible site/project/resource- thank you so much for doing this!
Awesome work! Thank you!
